Stain Colours

Back to Products

Meranti, Pine and Saligna can be stained to resemble other wood species, without the high cost associated with actually buying it. The following must be kept in mind.

The colour of the wood before staining has an influence on the end product. In every wood species a fair amount of colour variation occurs naturally. This means that after staining, slight colour variations to a degree are unavoidable - but that is the beauty and diversity of wood. This problem can be solved by sorting the skirtings or dado rails according to shades of colour before installation begins.

The following stain colours are available:

  • •   Imbuia: shades of light brown with golden undertones. Sometimes a tinge of red can be observed, depending on the plank.
  • •   Mahogany: can best be described as a red wine colour. Shades of purple and faint hints of black are present. Very Classy and popular.
  • •   Royal Mahogany: comparing royal mahogany with dark mahogany, royal mahogany leans more toward the red spectrum of colour. Shades of red with hints of light pink.
  • •   Medium Oak: rich golden yellow colour. A definite presence of yellow
  • •   Rosewood: light pink to darker pink can be specified by the customer.
  • •   Oregon Pine: Light, golden yellow tones.
